I am an AIR FORCE BRAT. I grew up around the world from birth to 18 years old, moving every 2 to 4 years. I was born in the no-longer existent Clark AFB, Phillipines, moved to Travis AFB, CA at 1 year of age, moved to Yokota AFB, Japan from 2-4 y.o, then to Vandenberg AFB, CA from 4-6 y.o., then to Mildenhall AFB, England through grade school, then to the no-longer- existent Homestead AFB, FL for 6th & 7th grade, then back to Clark AFB, Philippines, and then finally to Warner Robins AFB, GA, where I graduated high school with a bunch of strangers. I then got on a plane to fly to Los Angeles to start college at UCLA. What an amazing adventure! My father was in the Air Force for 22 years, working for the 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing for the Department of Defense. He retired a Master Seargent. Integrating into 'Civilian Life' was extremely difficult for him. His skill set was all about war planning! He tried being a mail-man and hated it. He did a couple of other things until he found a niche, being an administrator for Elderly Home Care services. He has since owned 2-3 Elderly Home Care facilities in Central California. Blessings to my Dad and Mom!! I will never forget my experiences as an 'air force brat'. I'm grateful for the skills I learned and the opportunity I had to grow up around all kinds of people and nationalities. I have respect for all the different communities of people out there. I also have respect for, and gratitude towards all the soldiers out there, risking their lives for the freedom we have today. Thank you and God Bless!

    Poem by Maureen Weider

    Sunday, January 27, 2008, 09:01 PM [General]

I’d like to share part of a beautiful poem on dreams written by Maureen Weider.

We have a dream inside ourselves,

A gift to us at birth,

To guide us and protect us

On our journey on this earth.

    We all have something special,

    Each one of us’ unique

You have to find the courage

To find the peace you seek.

So dream your dream and live your dream

    Don’t be afraid to try.

Just take your soul by the hand

    And let your spirit fly.

    Golden Globes 2008: www.viaattheglobes.com

    WOW!!

That is all I have to say about the feedback and gratitude we received from all of the celebrities that we gifted with a ViaViente box set. The beautiful purple box set included a full bottle of Via, a shot glass, a 'River of Life' DVD, and a card with instructions on how to take.

Here are highlights of my experience:

Wednesday night: Mechelle T., Crystal R., Derek V., Dr. Shaun F., Rene and I all came together to pack and haul 4 cars worth of Via product, gift stuff and decorations. When we arrived, my good friend, an interior decorator, Shawna M. was already there setting up. It took us from 6pm to 10:30pm to wrap up and get ready for the next two days. HIGHLIGHT: Many of us were not on the same Via team, and my friend Shawna isn't in Via. However, we all came together, bonded and helped prepare to make this opportunity the best it could for the entire Via company.

Thursday 11-6pm: Craig Keeland, Rebecca Rice, Mechelle Thorne, Rene & I enjoyed meeting, greeting and gifting celebrities, stylists, producers, media, etc. Craig enjoyed walking around mingling and taking pictures with celebrities. Rene met his teen-hood 'favorite actress'. We were happy to see that every person that stopped at our Via table genuinely wanted to learn about the product, was intrigued with the mineral tester, and was grateful for their gift of Via.

Friday 11-5pm: Another fabulous day gifting stars with ViaViente. Today, Fozia Najfi helped Rene & I throughout the day. We poured shots of Via, wowed all with the light-bulb test, got Via to more celebrities, magazine editors, models, and even gave Via to all the other vendors at the gifting suite. Highlights: Bonding with Craig and Rebecca, taking a picture with Joan Collins and our favorite character in the TV show, 'Heroes'.

Already, we have been receiving positive feedback on ViaViente. We are just thankful that Craig Keeland saw this opportunity to get ViaViente into more hands. We all had such a great time and plan on doing more similar events in the future. To top of this whole star-studded week, I arrived home from work today to find a vase of beautiful red and yellow roses for Rene & I from Craig and the Via team. I love this company!!!

    Let's Make a Difference!

    Wednesday, January 2, 2008, 02:52 PM [General]

Welcome to my 'Celebrate Good News' Site!

I am in awe of Ms. Sheri Sharman.  Since I've met her, my life has become more enriched.  Sheri continues to show me through example and teach me the power of 'loving others', especially those you meet for the first time.  'Loving others' entail seeking out unique talents in others, and reminding them of their gifts.  'Loving others' entail sharing your true belief in the ability of others to accomplish their goals and dreams. 'Loving others' also entail encouraging others to continuously work on themselves through personal growth and development.  Thanks to Sheri, this site will be a breath of fresh air to many bombarded with depressing news on TV & newspapers, negative gossip in magazines and shows, and the inherent focus the media has with anything violent or unjust.  When we all begin focusing on our personal talents, the talents of others, and express gratitude for all things good around us, we will collectively make a difference in this world.  Like the genie says in the movie, 'The Secret', "Your wish is my command."

    Do What You Love

    Wednesday, January 2, 2008, 01:41 PM [General]

In 2008, I commit to doing more of what I love.

    1.  I LOVE singing- it has always been a true passion of mine.  I sang 5 songs at a best friends wedding this past weekend and I have to admit, it was the best feeling in the world to see the appreciative and happy looks on everyones face.  I know I contribute greatly to "feeling good" with my voice, and I am grateful.

    2.  I LOVE laughing- it truly feeds the soul.  It burns calories!  It prevents gravity from establishing a permanent frown on your face, thus it can be seen as an 'anti-aging' remedy!  Next time you see me, lets laugh out loud together!!

    3.  I LOVE bringing out the best in others.  Life is hard enough for everyone.  Noticing strengths, noticing gifts/ talents and giving compliments, are a powerful way to make a difference and remind others of their unique contributions to the world.
